Mount Madonna Center, Santa Cruz, CA
Join Amita and Emily for a Bhakti Yoga immersion unlike any other. Dive deep into the heart of devotion at Mount Madonna Center, home of the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, located on 355 acres of redwood forest.
The 2018 Heart of Bhakti Retreat
celebrates Navaratri, the nine-night festival
of the Triple Goddess honoring the Divine Feminine & the nine-night festival of Ram's Lila,
highlighting the Divine Masculine.
Come experience this potent & auspicious time on the mountain.
Navaratri is a time of inner renewal and celebration, of the victory of light over our own inner darkness, our inner demons. In some parts of India, it is a time when many forms of the Goddess Durga is worshipped, and in other parts, it is auspicious to honor Ram's Lila, the story of Ram, Sita, and Hanuman, particularly in the Ramayana, revering the Divine Masculine.
Our time together at Mount Madonna is designed to support you in embodying the energy of the union of the divine feminine and divine masculine in your practice and in your life.
Retreating together includes temple ceremony, Dharma talks, ritual, mudra, chanting, pranayama practices, as well as flow and restorative yoga practices. Amita and Emily have both been inspired by the goddess and the divine feminine— join them for this unique and nurturing experience.
Amita served as a Priestess at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple for over three years, and brings with her a deep understanding of the teachings on the divine feminine.
Emily has also spent many years working deeply with the energy of the divine feminine, engaging with the triple Goddess in her personal practice & teaching since 2012. Together they have crafted a retreat unlike any other.
Navaratri is a highly sacred time, and honored at Mount Madonna with morning pujas to Ram at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple founded by master north Indian yogi Sri Baba Hari Dass. Experience the magic!
